Risk-adjusted Mortality Rate: Congestive heart failure

Mortality indicators for inpatient conditions include conditions for which mortality has been shown to vary substantially across institutions and for which evidence suggests that high mortality may be associated with deficiencies in the quality of care. This measure is used to assess the number of deaths per 100 discharges with principal diagnosis code of congestive heart failure (CHF) (IQI 16).
